From River Oaks Golf Club in Meagher’s Grant (NS) to Kingswood Golf in Fredericton (NB) to Dundarave in Cardigan (PE), there is a golf adventure to appeal to every business and leisure traveler.
One of Nova Scotia’s newest golf courses is expected to be in full swing this summer employing about 125, double the 65 employed last year. Cabot Links, overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence at Inverness, will re-open this summer as an 18-hole golf course with lodge accommodations. Ben Cowan-Dewar, managing director for Cabot Links, plans to open the resort on June 29. Cabot Links had a soft opening last year with 10 of the 18 Rod Whitman designed-holes ready for play, along with the dining room, Panorama and Cabot Bar. The new 48-room lodge, which was designed by award-winning architect Susan Fitzgerald, will include wall-to-wall windows, offering unobstructed views of the course and the sea. The exterior will feature cladding of eastern cedar shingles, in line with the Maritime aesthetic.
